Active Reviewing

During this training, two professional trainers offer dynamics and review methods in combination with a theoretical framework so that you can then experiment with this method yourself.

Within experiential learning, action and reflection are indispensable. They are two essential building blocks of experiential learning that flow into each other.

Active reviewing stands for:

  • Creating unity/connection between the action and the reflection.
  • Offering active and creative reflections.
  • Offering a working method that increases the insight and awareness of participants.
  • Asking the right question and installing interventions that advance the learning process.
  • Increase student involvement.

During this training you will personally experience that this active/creative form of reflection does not need many words. In fact, this form of reflection goes deeper into emotions, interpretations, motivations… than we can put into words.

Depending on a multi-day, full-day or half-day course, the following elements are covered:

  • An explanation of Roger Greenaway's four-step model.
  • Teaching methodologies to create a positive learning climate.
  • Teaching tailor-made interventions that increase learning opportunities.
  • The experience of how active reviewing works.
  • Making a connection with your practice context.
  • Being able to practice as a teacher: together with you we discuss this experience from a meta-reflection.

Each participant receives a digital theory bundle with the content of the session.
