Extreme Dialogue: Testimonies of extremism

Testimonies from stragglers, victims or former members of extremist groups can help to discuss extremism or to put it in a different light. In this respect, the Institute of Strategic Dialogue, a London think tank working on violent extremism and other forms of conflict between communities, helped develop a number of interesting online tools.

Extreme Dialogue makes short English-language videos available that tell the story of a former member of an extreme right-wing group and the mother of a fallen Syrian gang. The purpose of the films is to undermine the appeal of extremist groups by showing the reality behind a romanticized ideal image.
