Canon of Flanders
The Canon of Flanders opens windows on the past and takes you on a journey through time through Flemish history.
There are sixty topics or windows, which are arranged chronologically on a timeline. The sixty windows are also grouped into seven main lines, which you can select separately.
Each window is made up of an eye-catcher and an iconic image, a theme and two focal points. In addition to the illustrations in the text, each window also has a ribbon of images with complementary information. The window is rounded off with a 'more information list': VRT archive images, reading tips, museums, walks and other moments of experience. Some windows also contain a historical map. All historical maps can be found together under the Interactive Maps section.
