Migration, diversity and media literacy: Digital learning environment

Do the themes of migration, diversity and media literacy sometimes come up in your class? Are you looking for support? Other Talk–Teaching Migration offers you as a teacher a free digital learning environment with knowledge, practical tips and educational material on these themes. Ask questions to experts and receive a certificate!

The learning environment was developed in 2022 based on the results of a needs analysis and focus groups with current secondary education teachers. The five learning paths (migration - media literacy - identity - in the classroom - in dialogue) are structured in such a way that you first acquire concrete knowledge, based on empirical data. Afterwards, practical tips and interactive teaching methods are discussed that you can use inside and outside the classroom. Those who would like to delve deeper will find a collection of qualitative background information at the end of each learning path. Everything can be discovered at your own pace. You can receive a personal certificate if you have completed a learning path and you can ask questions to other participants or experts via a secure chat.

New material was developed for the content of the learning paths and existing (educational) material was used. This in collaboration with experts and expert organizations.
