Dutch Week

The Dutch Week is a collaboration between Flemish-Dutch Huis deBuren and the Language Union. Together with various partners, they will draw attention to the versatility of Dutch from September 30 to October 7.

Every year this also includes a Language Newspaper , full of fun language challenges and writing assignments. In 2023, the emphasis will be on emotion and feeling in Dutch with eight assignments for home or in class. The Taalkrant will be available online in September: to view on a tablet, telephone or computer or to print . There is also a Braille newspaper and an audio version for people with reading disabilities . For the first time, the organization of Dutch Language Week this year is also providing a lesson folder to use in the classroom.

What else can you expect during Dutch Language Week?

A mix of activities, events , language games and other initiatives that underline the importance of Dutch. You can also read the Taalkranten from previous years via the website and get started with the material you find there.
