Emotions in drama: Audiovisual teaching materials


In this collection you will find image and sound fragments about emotions in theater, together with more context and concrete teaching tips. Emotions or feelings are very important in theater. The audience recognizes themselves in those emotions and can thus empathize and empathize with the characters.

An actor mentally empathizes with a character who reacts emotionally to a situation or to another character. He adjusts his movements, facial expressions and voice. He plays the emotion believably and sustains the emotion. In this collection we focus on the drama building block role through the theme of emotions.

This collection was created in the context of a research project with the teacher training course of VIVES University of Applied Sciences and meemoo, the Flemish archives institute.
