Fieldwork water

During fieldwork on water, students independently conduct a water study that is not inferior to the real work. They catch and identify aquatic animals from the PIME pond, after which they determine a food cycle (first degree) or the Belgian biotic index (second degree).

They use professional measuring devices to determine the chemical quality of the Nete and pond water. We discuss what their measurements mean and together come to a decision about the chemical and biological quality of the water.
