Spatial Geometry with GeoGebra: Course
In this web course, math teachers are introduced in depth to the GeoGebra program's spatial geometry module .
Lesson 1: Installation and settings
GeoGebra CLASSIC 6 en SUITE
Overview of GeoGebra versions, settings of the 3D window, drawing
points, formatting and style.
Lesson 2: Exploring the interface
Algebra window, input bar, the Cavalière perspective, save and open
files on PC and in the cloud, copy images to Word.
Lesson 3: The 3D Drawing Toolbar part 1
Straight lines, planes, perpendiculars, parallels, circles, spatial
solids, spheres, basic constructions, Platonic solids.
Lesson 4: The 3D Drawing Toolbar part 2
Sections, measure distance, area and volume, elevations,
unfoldings, add text.
Lesson 5: From a different perspective 2D
Parallel and central projection, perspectives: natural,
orthographic, isometric, Cavalière.
Lesson 6: GeoGebra books
Creation of interactive worksheets, storage of applets in the
cloud, bundling of material.
Lesson 7: Intersections
Techniques for determining the cross-section of a plane with a
cube, cylinder, pyramid. Navigation bar and scroll buttons.
Lesson 8: Promoting spatial awareness
Loss of properties in projections, intersecting or intersecting,
impossible figures, collection of interactive exercises.
Lesson 9: Research assignment polyhedra
Platonic solids and Euler's formula, learning paths in online
GeoGebra book.
Lesson 10: Applications
Geometric constructions in 3D and research of properties,
applications, worked examples.
Use
Participants in this web course will have sufficient experience to integrate the 3D version of GeoGebra into their daily teaching practice and to create simple dynamic GeoGebra files themselves.
