The ABC of xyz - Explobots
In The ABC of xyz, the students explore the secrets of
3D printing. They discover how you can determine coordinates in the
third dimension and how navigation systems work.
The students take their first steps in the world of technical
drawing and learn to work in the 3D CAD program TinkerCAD.
They investigate how a 3D printer works and how you can obtain
optimal 3D prints in order to subsequently design and print a soma
cube and chess pawns through the technical process. The PLA
filament of the 3D printer also receives the necessary attention,
after which the students make their own bioplastic.
The professions 3D-CAD draftsman, GIS analyst and plastics
processor are examined in this project.
