EDUbox AI: Educational tool from VRT NWS

Every time we listen to music on Spotify, watch a series on Netflix or scroll through Facebook and Instagram, there is a smart machine that monitors our behavior and choices and learns from it. Very handy, because that way we constantly receive personal suggestions. But AI goes much further, of course, because a self-driving car, for example, is also full of intelligent computers. You will learn exactly how this works in the EDUbox Artificial intelligence .

EDU box AI
EDUbox AI is an interactive teaching package for young people in secondary education that immerses them in the new world of AI. The concept of AI is explained in it, as well as the origins and different forms of AI. Using the game 'People vs. Zombies', the students will finally control smart machines themselves. The EDUbox AI was created thanks to the collaboration between VRT NWS, imec, RVO-Society, Mediawijs, Kenniscentrum Data en Maatschappij and Technopolis.

This EDUbox uses different learning styles to let young people discover new concepts in an active and collaborative way. VRT NWS also made reports for the EDUbox AI, including VRT NWS journalists Loutfi Belghmidi and Tom Van de Weghe, who trained in AI at Stanford University in California). An Jacobs of IMEC-SMIT VUB talks about AI and prejudices.
