Climate Change: Hiking Research

Discover climate change in your area

During this activity, students study and inventory the environment by means of inspiring research questions and assignments related to climate change. They observe the environment thoroughly, question what they see, discuss among themselves, question people… In this way they themselves discover very actively causes, consequences and solutions of climate change. Students investigate locally, making a global problem such as climate change more tangible. Moreover, they learn to ask themselves questions about the way people and the environment relate. The inventories and ideas provide sufficient material for an in-depth discussion in class and possible actions that may arise from this. The focus is on inquiry-based learning, systems thinking and education for sustainable development.
