Poetry is entertainment: Teaching ideas
This mini course aims to introduce students to different forms of poetry and encourage them to read and write it.
The emphasis is on the (language) play element, which is unmistakably present in many modern poems. The theory is alternated with varied assignments, which teach students to actively use poetic means of expression in a playful way.
This learning tool ties in with the Humor theme of Poetry Week 2017.
