Designing a Parachute or Glider: STEM Compass

In this group work, your students design a parachute or glider. They think about the choice of materials, make prototypes and test them. Which of the designs floats in the air the longest?

This project was made according to the didactics of the STEM compass ; a guideline and source of inspiration for shaping activities and lessons around STEM. This contribution is the result of a collaboration with students from the educational Bachelor of Nursery Education and the educational Bachelor of Primary Education from the Odisee Hogeschool campus Aalst.
