Build a Catapult: STEM Compass
Knight Tristan (from the book The Mouse Knight by Cornelia Funke) is tired of mice nibbling on everything in his castle. He has to come up with a plan to get rid of the mice. Could a slingshot be the solution?
During this STEM project you will investigate which properties a good catapult should have, you will build catapults together and of course also test them.
This project was made according to the didactics of the STEM compass ; a guideline and source of inspiration for shaping activities and lessons around STEM. This contribution is the result of a collaboration with students from the educational Bachelor of Nursery Education and the educational Bachelor of Primary Education from the Odisee Hogeschool campus Aalst.
