Community school in Brussels: 1 +1 is more than 2

With this collection, a publication of the Education Center Brussels, the Flemish Community Commission wants to clarify the concept Community School, and its application in the Brussels situation.

Children and young people grow up in an increasingly complex society. In addition, social challenges such as multilingualism, diversity, social inequality and poverty also play a role in Brussels. This metropolitan reality means that children and young people need a lot of competences to help shape their lives and their environment. More and more schools, organizations and local authorities are becoming convinced of the power that a Community School can have in realizing maximum development opportunities for all children and young people.
