How do I explain the median in class: Example
I am explaining the median, an abstract concept, graphically made in my class in the following way:
- I asked for any seven pupils.
- She asked to go from small to large, and asked the center to his or her hand to stabbing. That was the median.
- In the event of an equally dataset, I asked then another one in (ie eight in total) and the two middle ones were together raise their hands.
According to the students, this was very clear, and it brings some movement in your class.
