Strong in STEM! About the importance of the teacher in STEM with preschoolers: Kindergarten


STEM is feasible and valuable for pre-schoolers and has therefore rightly gained its place in the pre-school classes. In recent years, Stephanie Vervaet, lecturer in world orientation and researcher at the Expertise Center for Educational Innovation at VIVES University of Applied Sciences, has been privileged to be able to follow this process. Through informal moments, participation in various learning networks and the organization of numerous training initiatives, she met kindergarten teachers who are committed to STEM with great enthusiasm and dedication. In her role as a teacher at the university of applied sciences, she also worked with many trainee teachers who put their best foot forward to integrate STEM into their internship or thesis.
