Each person who visits the Website (hereinafter the “Visitor”) as well as each person who makes use of our services (hereinafter the “Customer”) almost inevitably discloses certain personal data.

The source of this data is your use of KlasCement.

These data are used to use the functionalities of KlasCement and to personalise the service for each registered user.

  • Our legitimate interest, so that the Platform can technically provide the personalised services in accordance with the necessary cookies as referred to in Our Cookie Statement.

The data will be stored together with the account data for up to 2 years after the last login.

This data is permanently stored in an anonymised form when the account data is deleted.

The source of the communication data is the information you provide to Us when you contact Us.

(*) Notwithstanding the above, We may retain your personal information when necessary to comply with a legal obligation to which We are subject, or to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of another natural person.

In addition, We may retain (internally) the e-mail addresses of banned members who have seriously damaged the trust of KlasCement and who, despite repeated requests, do not comply with Our rules of conduct set out in Our Terms of Use. We base this on Our legitimate interest: prevention of fraud, criminal offences and misconduct. The list is kept indefinitely and is only accessible to a very limited group of persons within KlasCement.

3.2. Processors

A processor is someone who processes personal data at the request of or on behalf of Us. We may sometimes enter into a contract with this party to provide certain products and/or services. In other words: We make use of processors, when this is necessary for the provision of services. In this case, We will enter into a written agreement with the processor whereby the security of your personal data is guaranteed by the processor. The processor always acts according to our instructions.

We appeal to the following categories of processors:

  • companies we have engaged for ICT technical support, hosting purposes, security purposes and back-up purposes;
  • companies we have engaged for logistic purposes (e.g. taking care of invitations, etc.);

We will not share your personal data with third parties for any purpose, subject to the following exceptions.

In some circumstances, We may be required by law to share certain personal data, including yours, if We are involved in legal proceedings or to comply with legal obligations, a court order or the instructions of a government authority.

We may provide your personal data to a third party (often partners) whose content appears on Our website for the purpose, among others, of enabling them to contact you in order to offer you relevant services.

KlasCement acts as co-responsible for the transfer of your data to the following partners/services (categories of recipients):

  • companies that offer products/services for digital learning resources.

On your external permissions page, you will find a list of all partners/services, the contact details and links to the privacy statement of the partners/services. The legal basis is always consent, which you can withdraw on the same page. The aforementioned partners/services may further process personal data for their own purposes. For the further processing of your personal data, the partners/services act as independent controllers. Apart from the processing of personal data mentioned in this Provacy Policy, KlasCement has no influence on the further processing of personal data by the partner/service. KlasCement advises you to regularly check the privacy statement of the partner/service.

We will take appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure your personal data and to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal data.

We may update this policy from time to time by publishing a new version on our Platform. This may be necessary, for example, if the law changes, or if We change things in a way that affects the protection of personal data. If We make any substantial changes, this will be clearly communicated to You. 7. Your rights

7.1. Guarantee of legitimate and secure processing of your personal data

Your personal data will always be processed for legitimate purposes, as set out in Article 3. They shall be collected and processed in an appropriate, relevant and proportionate manner, and kept for no longer than the period specified in Article 3.

7.2. Right to access

You have the right to consult your personal data at any time (and to amend them if necessary). In this case, in order to prevent abuse, the Department may ask you to identify yourself adequately upon contact. Thus you have the right to consult the purposes of the processing, the categories of personal data, the categories of recipients to which the personal data are sent, the criteria which determine the period of data retention and the rights which you can exercise in relation to your personal data.

7.3. Right to rectification of your personal data

Inaccurate or incomplete personal data may be corrected. You can also contact Us with a request for amendment.

7.4. Right to erasure (or “right to be forgotten”)

You also have the right to obtain the erasure of your personal data under the following assumptions:
